i heart bank holiday weekends

there's a new indian restaurant in shibata called Indus. jon and tomoko discovered it in it's first few days about two weeks ago. since it's opening, our crew has been its most loyal customers. i'll just reference it here since it will probably come up a lot over the next little while. it's our new 'spot' in shib.
so Indus was the destination for friday night's dinner. yummy mutton curry and tandoori chicken, raita, nan and mango juice. oishii!!
saturday i managed to get to kickboxing, despite feeling a little off (stupid cold i've had for about a week now). kazeta sensei worked us hard and i'm still a bit sore. i've discovered that the most challenging thing is holding the pads while someone else is punching them. obviously have got to work on my biceps.
saturday night was anna's housewarming/shibakami welcome party. good party deshita ne! though crashing out on lindsay's floor with a terrible cold meant no sleep for me sat night.
sunday we vegged all day and watched dvd's, had lunch at Indus (they weren't even open and opened for us!)
then we took advantage of the gorgeous weather yesterday and took a drive up mount yahiko. met the girls in the city for some coffee and then it was back to my apartment for some 24. the perfect weekend i'd say!
