i accomplished what i set out to do

monday morning and i'm just back from 5 days in tokyo. it was august the last time i went so it has been a good 2.5 months. the original pull was the Clap Your Hands Say Yeah concert (written about...in detail...below!). but also to see people i hadn't seen for a while, visit some friends, and say some goodbyes.
kat and i set off early wednesday morning and bussed there, arriving at about 1pm. spent that afternoon getting to the hotel then getting ready for the concert, which was wednesday night. thursday i visited with laura, and meeting up with kate later for some yummy mexican at el torito.
friday i met a friend for lunch then a huge lot of us met in yoyogi park for some beers, and some fun. the weather was incredible all weekend - mostly t-shirt weather, even at night! fantastic! hit up TGIF's with kate, glen and his posse for some fajitas. (and then the required purikura).
saturday i did some more catching up and then met up with keito and laura for some shibuya shopping. hit up keito's favourite izakaya saturday night and spent some time in shibuya. it was back to niigata sunday afternoon, and the weather's still holding! oh happy niigata!
