life goes on, without the snow

i think this has been my easiest re-adjustment back to the daily routine of japan life in my 2.5 years here. within 5 minutes of coming through arrivals and narita and buying my limited express ticket to tokyo, i was fully mentally back in the land of irasshaimase's and mayo-corn pizza. canada was instantly miles away again.
back to the usual work week. week nights filled with friends over for dinner, meeting lins and anna in nakajo for a bowl of ramen, going to indus for a meal, kboxing, office-watching, hot sando parties...and planning out the weekends.
i booked my trip to SE asia yesterday! managed to stretch it to 3 weeks so i'm pretty excited. sugoi. will be attempting northern thailand, cambodia and loas (and possibly southern vietnam...but we'll have to see about that).
and rachel will be here in about 5 weeks for a week in japan. crazy crazy.
