do you understand?

i judge a teacher by whether or not she flushes while she pees. is that being too harsh?
sometimes i feel like...geez. she's a cool lady. if she doesn't flush. wow. she let me listen to her pee. she's "worldly". she must have travelled outside of japan.

japanese women have a tendency to flush WHILE they are peeing because they are embarrassed by the sound it makes if someone else is in the room. so they sit down, flush, then flush again when they're finished. which is obviously a complete waste.

Justine I know exactly what you mean and I agree. When someone doesn't flush I do tend to wonder where they have been!

hahaha...you always give me some topics to make me think about as Japanese. For the flashing toilet, I don't care when I am oversea but I tend to flash when I am in Japan unless they have otohime (the sound system to block the peeing sound.)

hahaha....i would have to admit it yes! I do flash toilets here in Japan while I am peeing even though i know that's totally wasting water! not friendly to the nature...still I cannot help doing it. Well...if I go to toilet with you Justine, I don't though. I don't mind you hearing me peeing.
