I was out in London a couple of years ago when it was Canada Day. All teh Canadians in London were trying to get served at the Maple Leaf pub in Covent garden. We went round teh corner to another pub and got served straight away! (pic of pub, pic of Canadians)
canada day, abit like st. patrick's day for the irish? except maybe half the world has adopted paddy's day as their own when they don't have an ounce of irish blood in their veins! but any excuse for a party is fine by me i guess;-)
on another entirley different note,i watched the first 10 episodes of 24 over the weekend. it rocks! totally hooked! first i was hooked on sex and the city, then it was the sopranos, now it's 24. i never watched any of them before i came to japan. the cultural awakening i am experiencing here is overwhelming ;-) xxxx
kelly... don't even get me started on 24! i was totally hooked, i think that the series has done it's rounds in the shibata-murakami region. now i'm on to buffy and it's beginning to take over my life! 3 years worth in 2 weeks! help!
