sihanoukville

After almost two and a half weeks of travel we were eager to get to the beaches in the southwest part of the country. There is a peninsula called sihanoukville which was supposed to be quite nice. So we hopped on another bus and arrived there in the evening. We spent the next three and a half days lying on the beach, relaxing, and catching up on sleep. I also decided to go diving since I knew that it might be my last opportunity for who knows how long. That was a really fun day. The dive boat left at 8am where the 8 of us had breakfast together, went for one hour-long dive, had lunch, and then another dive, before the 2 hour trip back. We saw dolphins, and I saw a giant stingray, angel fish, butterfly fish, clownfish, jellyfish etc. definitely a highlight of sihanoukville.
