After the floating village we took another tuk-tuk to the temples of Angkor for the sunset. The incredible thing about Angkor is that it is far away from the city and still completely in the jungle. .
There are so many sights which are smack in the middle of a large city with modern buildings which surround it (think: the coliseum, the acropolis, kyomizudera etc etc). but Angkor is absolutely massive and sprawled out throughout the jungle that you have to take a tuk-tuk between all of the sights. And there’s nothing in between but jungle and dirt paths. (in fact, you can’t even go off the path for fear of unexploded mines)
